Currently fours schools in our area are participating in a public speaking and debating competition. The schools involved are Dakabin SS, Kallangur SS North Lakes SS and Undurba SS. Each school sends up to 3 participants who are required to speak for 3-4 minutes. The topics have been: Year 4 – My Family, Year 5 – My School, Year 6 – My Country, Year 7 – My World.
Speakers have been adjudicated by members of the Toastmasters Organisation using a form that looks at content, structure, effectiveness, body language, eye contact, appropriateness.
Our children have done very well at each year level. Please enjoy listening to our first podcasts of the first and second placed children in the Year Four competition.
