BRENDA
Hi, my name is Brenda Marment and I am the newly elected P&C President for 2017.  I  have previously been on the Executive Committee in 2015 as Secretary.

I joined the P&C initially so that I could be informed about what happens in our school community. I then became involved and became part of a decision making team, with other like minded parents, who has the interest of our school at heart.

I urge you to come to a P&C Meeting .  They are held on the 3rd Monday of the month at 6.15pm, in the Life Skills Room (Tuckshop Side of the Hall).

CARLY
Hi, my name is Carly Cooper. I am currently the Vice President of Undurba P&C.
I have three children, two daughters who attend Undurba, and a three year old son.
I became involved with the P&C initially to put on a fete – and, together with a fantastic group of parents and staff we created Undurbazaar! Now, as vice president, I can contribute my ideas about how we can create a school community that supports what Undurba does for its students.
The P&C is a place where parents can bring their knowledge, skills and ideas that will enhance the school. We host fundraisers that exclusively support the school, and meeting other parents who volunteer at these events is a fantastic bonus!
It gives me great pride to be a part of the decision making process and see things come to fruition for our students. I invite parents to take the opportunity to join us for a day or even just a morning to see what you too can create for your children at Undurba.
BIANCA
Hi, my name is Bianca Neaves and the current Undurba P&C Secretary. I joined the Undurba P&C when my eldest started prep and he's now in Year 2. It has been a whole lot of fun and provides a great insight into decisions made by and for the school. I am a full time working mum and so joining the P&C was my way of connecting to the school and developing relationships with my child's teachers and the principal despite not being there for drop offs and pick ups everyday.

It has also allowed me to meet a great group of parents and share some laughs while volunteering for various fundraising projects including the School Fete-Undurbazzar! I believe that a school is only ever as good as the community that supports it, and so I welcome other parents to join us to connect and have input into the learning environment we create for our children.

LYNNE
Hi, My name is Lynne Hardaker and I am currently the Treasurer of the P & C.
We moved to Undurba in 2014 after a year at a South Side school. Before that we came from New Zealand.  In 2014 I had two children at Undurba, and this year only one as the older one has started high school at Murrumba State Secondary.
So, why did I join the P & C?  I wanted to be involved.  My children spend 6 hours a day at school – it’s a big part of their lives and I wanted to understand what was happening for them.  I also hoped that by being on the P & C I would have an influence on what happens at the school.  I can tell you that I have been able to have some influence.  Last year, Denise Sims, Councillor for Division 7 of Moreton Bay Regional Council attended a meeting (she often does).  We were discussing the road situation around the school and the parent’s frustrations about the 2 minute zone, the crossings, especially around the McDonald’s intersection and the Ogg  – Goodfellows Rds intersections.  I raised the fact that a number of vehicles did illegal U-turns on Dohles Rocks Road at the McDonald’s intersection which was extremely dangerous for cars turning left from Ogg Road onto Dohles Rock road and pedestrians.  Denise said that was a pretty easy fix and within 2 weeks there was a “No U-turns permitted” sign up.  So even if you think you have a small voice you can be heard and you can make a difference.
