At Undurba State School, we empower every learner to reach their potential and become successful citizens. Our whole school approach to curriculum provision, using a continuum of support, is responsive to, and caters for the learning needs of each and every learner. In practice, this means that we believe that every child can learn and will make progress during every year of their education.
We are committed to:
- providing customised, quality, differentiated learning opportunities focused on improving the achievement of every student
- collaboratively monitoring learner progress with school-wide analysis and discussion of achievement data
- ensuring consistent practice and a cohesive response to diverse learning needs in a culture of ongoing improvement which sets high expectations
- cultivating every child’s gifts and talents so that that they reach their full learning potential.
At Undurba State School, we use a whole school approach to support different levels of student needs.
Three layers provide a continuum of support with increasingly focused and personalised teaching and intervention at each successive layer – including increasing levels of adjustments, monitoring of student learning and behaviour and involvement and support staff.
The appropriate layer of support is identified through analysis of student data and ongoing monitoring of student progress.
