The Undurba State School Resource
Centre was opened 7 years ago in term 3, 2011 and replaced and
incorporated the former Undurba Library.
It is a multi-function building
designed for many types of learning. The library space is located at the centre
of the building and houses a large range of fiction and non-fiction books. On
the southern side is situated a fully functioning Science Innovation and
Technology Centre (STIC) that also doubles as a state-of-the-art Computer Lab.
Located on the north side, are two multi-purpose learning spaces, the ‘Grey’
and ‘Yellow’ Rooms. These rooms can be adapted to suit different size classes
for a variety of learning situations, which may include research projects,
group work and digital technology activities.
The centre also houses a media
room and reading & mathematics resource rooms and a teacher reference area.
Located at the front of the
Resource Centre is a wonderful terrace area used extensively by classes. This
area is particularly popular with students who are looking for a quiet place to
read and draw at lunch times.
At lunch times, the media room
doubles as a silent reading room for students.
Other spaces are available for students who enjoy playing board games, Lego,
puppets, floor jigsaws and other activities.
