At Undurba, students in Years 4-6 participate in the Lexile Reading Program. This program encourages children to read books by completing online quizzes. The Lexile program is just a part of the reading program that is place at our school.
Each time a student successfully completes a quiz they receive points. Students in Year 4 have a target of 25 points, Year 5 - 50 points and Year 6 - 100 points. Students who love reading can go onto higher targets.
Each term our teacher librarian, accumulates the points for each student and presents certificates for students who have achieved their target. Certificates are also presented to the class with the most points and to the most improved class.
